My Notebook Letters

Dear Traveler,
Only a couple days ago did Vappy lead me to this island. I almost drowned but Vappy was there to save me. The island was a beautiful sight even in winter. I'll have to come back in the summer to see the trees bloom. Vappy lead me to the siblings they had discovered so far. The only ones missing were Flannery and Treel. The island is made of traps each leading to a different area of the island, one wrong turn and you could be lost forever. Trying to understand what the siblings were saying, I wrote down in my journal there signs, trying to copy them exactly so I would be able to learn them. Vappy brought me back at moonrise, I took one last glance at the moon lit island and dove into the ocean to follow Vappy.

Dear Traveler,
You remember the island Vappy had showed me last winter? Well he took me there again! This time he took me when it was summer and the trees were so pretty. I took a couple of photos, unfortunately I lost my camera on the island. Vappy was excited since Flannery had just come to the island a week ago. Vappy was excited and let me explore the island on my own. I found a path and walked down and found this beautiful waterfall! I took a picture but I already told you what happened to my camera. I went down and went for a swim. I opened my eyes to find that the water was fresh water so i could see very clearly. There was a coral reef and the ocean floor was covered by little fish (schools). I wen through the surface to find the siblings swiming with me. They dove and jumped 'till they were exhausted. The only ones who didn't go in were Sparky and Flannery. The moon rose and Vappy led me back to my home.

Dear Traveler,
Vappy took me back to the island a week later. To show me the volcano. We found Flannery swimming inside the hot magma. The rocks were also fascinating. The rocks were completely black and smooth, not one crack. I put one in my bag. Vappy used a hydro pump and steam flew in the air, a hot one too. I think Vappy was showing me not to go in the volcano because it was extremely hot. But when the fog cleared the top of the volcano was completely covered in the smooth rock. I thought, what happened to Flannery? But she was sitting in back of me to cover herself from the fog. I understood what Vaporeon was trying to show me, he saw me touching the rocks so he wanted to show me how they came to be. The moon rose shortly after that and Vappy and I swam back home.

Dear Traveler
Vappy took me back to the island! He's been taken me alot more lately, I'm not sure why though. Treel came with us to show me the forest. I was excited to see the island's flowers and trees. My, the forest was more breathtaking then I imagined. The flowers were a perfect match for the trees color and the sun shoved it's way between the tree's leaves giving us a perfect view of everything. The forest ended and led us to two caverns, one with darkness lurking its way out and one with blinding light. Vappy and Treel both went to one tunnel and drew their language. I marked them both of them in my notebook, suspecting one cavern was for the day and one was for the night. But from each tunnel came one of the siblings. It then hit me that this was Umber's and Esp's caves. Esp being day and Umber being night. Right when Umbreon came out of the cave, the moon rose and cast a glowing light through the island. Vappy led me back home shortly after. I keep wondering why Vappy doesn't let me stay the night......

Dear Traveler,
When Vappy took me to see the island again, I memorized the directions we were taking and routes. If Vappy wasn't going to let me stay the night I'll have to swim back here. When we got there I wrote down quickly in my notebook the routes we took to get to the island. Vappy was eying me but I avoided his gaze. This time he took me to see his sister, Glacy. Glacy led us to the back of the island that was completely covered in ice. There was no cracks and the ice was too far for the eye to see. Glacy stepped on the ice and punched a whole in the ice. I looked down the hole and found the water completely frozen, there was no life in this water. Glacy jumped and ran back toward the siblings cave. Glacy proved to be the most confident out of the siblings. I noted that in my notebook. Next, Vappy led me to this huge mountain with Lightning hitting the top every heartbeat. Sparky. I also noted that in my notebook. We arrived at the mountain top to find Sparky waiting for us. They must have this all planned out, I thought. Sparky made us stay where we were. He climbed to this rock-formation and stood on top. A brilliant thunderbolt exhaled from his body,shooting up to the sky. A couple heartbeats later, the thunderbolt came back and hit Sparky sending sparks of electricity to dance around him. Sparky jumped from where he was and touched a leaf on a tree. The leaf burnt to pieces. Sparky was showing me to never use the electricity for harm. The moon was rising, but this one was different. The moon was full. Vappy sent a mew to Sparky, causing Sparky to lead me down the path back towards the shore. Vappy pushed me in the water and started swimming. I did too.

Dear Traveler,
The night the full moon had come out, I started swimming the routes I had memorized. The water carried me to the island. I finally felt sand beneath my skin and I got up amazed to find the island practically glowing. I touched a tree to make sure it was the same..... I walked closer inward to the island fearing to pass Esp's and Umber's caves I took a different route. I suddenly heard music from a distance. I stopped. In front of me, Umber was staring. I tried to refresh my memory on where I was but the only thing that came to me was blankness. Umber started, like, vibrating. He soon bounded off toward the music. I covered my eyes with my hands protecting me from any harm. I then heard more rustling from the volcano, ice, mountain and the forest. They must all be heading toward the music. I then remembered that the only place Vappy had not shown me was his place. I guessed it was an ocean since he was water. I calmly stood up and started to walk to wherever I could find an exit. I wandered on and o 'till i finally came to open sea. I gasped at what I saw. The ocean was crystal blue and it glowed in the moonlight. There was all of the siblings gathered around.... around..... a girl? I walked down careful to not make Umber sense me. She was playing some sort of flute that was made of water. I carefully took a picture. This was it:

I gasped and dropped my camera. She stopped playing and Vappy jumped beside her. And then--

Dear Traveler,
I'm home now in my bed, midnight probably. After what i had gone through tonight my head was spinning. Vappy had chosen the girl over me. I had dropped to the ground because the water underneath me was pulling me down. I looked up to find the girl leaning over me and poured water on me. When I woke up, i found that I was still in the water and it was at least 11 o'clock at the most. I carefully got up and started heading back toward the shore. I found Vappy waiting for me. I tried to touch him but he fled into the forest. I dived into the ocean to find the water extremely cold, practically burning my cheeks. I finally arrived home and realized that I was shivering. I ran inside so no one would see me.

Dear Traveler,
Vappy didn't come back yet.... Something must of happened. I looked at the directions in my notebook. I dived into the ocean to find it freezing. How can this be I thought? Its never been below 80 degrees. I measured the degrees in the water and found it to be 32 degrees. That's freezing. I decided to take a rowboat so I wouldn't freeze myself to death. I got closer to the island, but there was something wrong. The water was black and there was black clouds surrounding the island. I stuck my hand in the water. It was black. I quickly dried my hand and rowed faster to the island. I jumped out of the boat to find someone waiting for me. It was the girl and Vappy. The girl tried to take my hand but she passed right through me. I practically fainted. She tried to speak but it was only a whisper. She seemed clearer now then she had before, I mean literally, like I could see through her. Her blue eyes looked clouded. Vappy ran off pausing at the entrance to the Iceland, waiting for us to follow. I ran toward him with the little energy I had left. We arrived at the Iceland to find it gone. Glacy was on her side on the ground. The girl ran over passing through Glacy. I sat down beside her, I looked around to find that the Iceland was no more. All that was left was the black ocean. The girl passed in front of me. She was trying to say something. I made it out barely "The island is dying, and the siblings are dying with it."

Dear Traveler,
Oh, its been so long since I've written to you! We resolved the problem of the island with the help with a special friend I met back home. Their name was Eggstew. Eggstew helped us resolve the problem by answering correctly the riddles which Dark Dialga had spoken. I found drawings in the sand just the other day. They were like symbols, yet like no symbols Humans have ever discovered. One symbol kept repeating and this was it:

I know its not PERFECT but its close. I have another feeling that the siblings names are something else. They keep making little noises, which sounds so much like a language. I so wish I could learn it! I've been looking for other signs of life on the island, but it's difficult when a Pokemon is always blocking your path. I've only searched half of the island so the other half, I have no idea what there might be. The blue haired girl was nowhere to be seen. I'll have to figure out her name.....

Dear Traveler,
I'm very sick. I think I caught something..... I can't return to the island in a condition like this. Instead, I sat home and drew. I drew a picture of the siblings and Vappy, my family, the blue haired girl and.... me. People say I'm good at drawing, but I think they just say that to make me feel good. I looked out the window to find it sunny. I figured some fresh air would do me good. I ran 2 blocks to the sea shore and collapsed on the sand. My hair was all wet from me sweating and my throat felt cold and painful at the same time. The hot day made me feel even sicker. I jumped in the water to cool me off. I swam until it was dark. I walked home, only to find my brother and sister waiting at the door.
"Where have you been?" they said.
"At the sea shore," I replied.
"You know it's dangerous along the sea shore. A Wailord could come sweep you away!" My brother said.
"Next you're going to tell me Manaphy's going to show up to take me to his kingdom," I said, annoyed.
"Don't be fresh," My sister said.
"I'm--" But, before I could say anything they told me to go to bed.

You may be wondering why they had so much power over me. My parents died on a boat wreck when we were young. My uncle was to busy at his gym to come take care of us. I rummaged through my drawer until I found what I was looking for. The first picture I took of the island. It brought back good memories.

Dear Traveler,
Well, I still have my cold and it keeps getting worse and worse. First, I couldn't walk down the stairs without collapsing, and now, I can't even get out of bed. I'm worried about the island and how it's doing. I keep drawing trying to keep myself busy but it doesn't work. The doctors say I'll be alright, but I heard my sister crying. Am I going to die? I know this is a short entry to my journal but I--
